I can’t believe our  camps are finished and school starts in two weeks.  We have had a great summer!  It has been busy, fun, with never a dull moment.   kylieflag.jpg

August 8th and 9th is the Paulding County Rodeo .  Our Drill Team has been asked to do the opening ceremonies.  We are selling tickets.  They are $10.00 for adults and $4.00 for children.  At the gate they are $15.00 and $5.00.  If you would like advanced tickets please email me and we will get them to you!  Come on out and see us perform – we have snazzy sequined vest this year!

Our State Riders leave August 28th for Perry, Ga.  We are very excited! Way to go Kara, Ian and Olivia!

September 13th is a Saturday Fun Day!  Join us for a day of riding, games, Fall crafts, lunch and a lot of fun.  Cost is $50.00 for the day.  9:00 to 4:00

I want to welcome Cody McCol back into the farm!  He is a 10 year old registered gelding.  I bought Cody back in the Spring and sold him right before Christmas.    I am glad to have him back!  He is a sweetie and Cody and I are off to Chatsworth, Ga the end of September to spend a weekend with Clinton Anderson – a very well known horse trainer from Australia!

To all of you who attended the June Fun Day, do you remember planting the pumpkin patch?  Well, I can’t tell you how big some of the pumpkins are.  We have picked the orange ones and stored them in the hayloft.  I hope they will keep until October’s Fun Day!  pumpkins.JPG

I am working out the details for the 4-H program and hope to have it up and running by September 1st!

Our vaulting team will start the first week in September.  If you would like to be on the team please let me know by mid August!

Nikki, our jumping instructor – who the girls just love, has been a wonderful asset to the farm!  I would also like to welcome Kali.  Kali does the cowboy mounted shooting and is going to help with lessons at the farm starting in August!

Our apartment over the barn is vacant.  If you anyone with or without horse experience that would love to live in a country setting please let us know.  It is a one bedroom apartment with laundry hook-up, full bath and a beautiful view of the pastures.

Happy Trails,

The Phillips
