If you are like us – things are a bit crazy at the moment.

Shelly and Ryan are on their way back form a week at her parents. Her grandmother passed (at 101!) and she needed to help her Dad while her Mom flew to NJ for the funeral.

And of course with Christmas less than a week away – and it rainy and cold – yuk. The horse are sliding around in the mud and business has come to a standstill.

But – we do have a Fun Day scheduled for the day after Christmas on December 26th and there are still a few places open. Sign up on the website on the right. 9am-1pm for less than the price of a lesson – can’t beat it!

Christmas Trees still available – if you have yet to pick up your tree, or if you know someone who would like one but can’t afford it – call us. We have 4 left and I hate to burn them… We have from 6ft to 8ft and they are beautiful Fraser Firs that have been in water since they were cut!

And finally -

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! (if we make it past The 21st!)

From all of us at high Country Stables…

The last camp of the 2012 summer season ended last Friday with a well performed exhibition of riding skills and the drill team.

Thanks to all who attended for their hard work in very hot and very dusty conditions!

After a short rain delay (which was perfect for keeping the dust storm down!) the riders of the Advanced Camp did their drill team exhibition…

We bought this land in Feb 2002 and started clearing and building. Sometimes it is good to look back!

At In Your Dream Farms RIFNA Show

Congratulations to all the 2011 RIFNA Riders. We are off to the State Show March 24th & 25th and then on to Regionals! It has been an awesome year and a great learning experience for both the riders and Kerry and I as their coaches. We are very proud of how the HCS team handled themselves and the horses they drew for competition this year. You guys Rock!

Kylie and I got to visit the

Kylie and Governor Deal

Capital on Youth Participation Day where she was awarded a certificate for winning the Youth Country Pleasure Racking Championship at NWGHA State in 2011. It was quite an honor to meet the Governor and see all the riders recognized for their accomplishments.

We ALL wear helmets at the horse shows!
