We finally have our summer camp schedule together. Thanks for being so patient! Though it is hard to think about summer when they are predicting snow tomorrow!

Spring Break Camp – April 5th to 9th- 9:00 to 1:00 – $275.00 for the week – $60.00 per day. Come all week or pick and choose your days.

Spring Break Camp schedule(plus all the other fun stuff):
Monday – Grooming, tacking, riding in the ring.
Tuesday – Trail ride.
Wednesday – Vaulting.
Thursday – Halter, Showmanship, Equitation and Horsemanship.
Friday – Gymkhana.

June 14th to 18th – Beginner to Intermediate Riding Camp – English or Western – 9:00 to 3:00 – $350.00 for the week – Ages 7 and up.

June 28th to July 2nd – Little Tykes Camp – 9:00 to 1:00 – $250.00 for the week – Ages 5 to 8.

July 12th to 16th – Beginner to Intermediate Riding Camp – English or Western – 9:00 to 3:00 – $350.00 for the week – Ages 7 and up.

July 26th to July 30th - Advanced Riding Camp – English or Western – 9:00 to 4:00 – $350.00 for the week – Ages 9 and up. We will end this camp on Saturday July 31st at Wild Horse Park for the Paulding County Saddle Club Championship show.

Horse Camp Dallas Ga and Paulding County Saddle Club Show Results!

January 18th – 9:00 to 1:00 – $50.00 – 1 Day horse camp. Instructional riding, trail ride(weather permitting), games on horses, crafts and snacks! 5 and up.
April 5th to 9th – Spring Break Horse Camp – 7 and up – 9:00 to 1:00 – English, Western, Jumping, Halter, games on horseback, trail rides, crafts and team building. $275.00 for the week! Limited to 8 Riders.
Congratulations to all the Paulding County Saddle Club Members who worked hard for the club and their awards.
Holly and Rocky, Chloe and Cody, Kylie and Preacher, Emily and Digger and Marley and Callie! They came home from the End of Year Awards Banquet with all sorts of trophies and gifts, Championship Halters, Blanket Coolers, Captain’s Chairs, trophies and a horsey watch! Way to go girls, you rock!
Look out – here comes the High Country Stables Drill Team! We are gearing up January 15th for our first meeting and practice!
We would like to welcome Sugar and Val to the barn! Sugar is a 7 year old TWH owned by Grace and her family.
Val is also a TWH, 4 years old and owned by Sherle. They are both in training with Shelly and we will keep you updated on their progress.

Wow! We went from 15 degrees and broken water pipes in the conference room ceiling to 65 degrees and everybody in t-shirts in one week! T-shirts are MUCH better!

We need boarders!

Over the winter we lost several horses. (Well actually we didn’t lose them – they moved or were sold!)

Java was bought by a very nice lady and moved to a big pasture in Cartersville. Daryl left in the fall looking for a place where he could volunteer to help disadvantaged kids. Blend, Jewel and Beau moved just down the road to a private pasture.

So we have room and sure could use some help! If you know anyone who might be looking for a home for their horse – please recommend us. Our best advertising is from our friends talking about us!

First Week Camp of the Year! Spring Break!
This is one of our most popular camps. The weather is usually perfect and everybody has Spring fever!

April 6th to 10th- 9:00 to 1:00 – $275.00 for the week, includes drinks and munchies! This camp is for all ages of riders and all levels of riding. We will ride English and Western, work on trail, halter and basic riding skills.

High Country Stables and Carlisle Performance Horses of Dallas, Ga are merging!

Big changes are coming to the farm! October 1st High Country Stables and Carlisle Performance Horses are joining forces. Bryan and Nicole Carlisle, along with their two children, Chase and Kiersten, are bringing 18 years of expertise and horse knowledge to our stables in Dallas, Ga. Along with their top show horses and AQHA youth riding team, we are getting quality lesson horses for our riding programs and camps. Bryan and his students have shown AQHA, State and 4-H as well as the Open shows and Fun Shows. Of course, this means we need to expand the barn and the riding area! Plans are to build another 7 stall barn and triple the size of the riding ring in the up coming months – I know what I am getting for Christmas – lumber and gravel.

Cody and I are off to the Clinton Anderson Clinic this coming weekend! I am excited, but I don’t know about Cody – I think he would rather be grazing in the pasture then ridden for three days straight!

As soon as we get back I will post the schedule for the Fall and Winter Fun Days and Horse Camps!

Back to horseback riding lessons in Dallas, Ga though…

We came home from Perry Ga with a State trophy. Riders and horses did really awesome and our stalls were the best decorated! The theme was "just another dirty barn girl/boy" and the kids worked hard to make posters, silhouettes, and pictures. They are hung in the barn as proud tribute to all their diligent work!

I want to thank everyone who came out for "muck day" to help clean up the barn. We worked all morning and rode all afternoon. I didn’t think the riding ring could hold so many horses at one time without a major collision.

I am planning on attending the next Cobb County 4-H meeting, which will be the 1st week of October so that we can get started. I will post and contact everyone who emailed me about 4-H and set up a meeting for the middle of October. I have had several people interested in getting the vaulting team up and running again. Please email me with a day and time that would best work for you so that Annette and I can get that scheduled. I want to welcome two new horses to the farm. Callie, an ex polo horse, who is very sweet and belongs to a 9 year old little girl. And Dusty, a very handsome Buckskin. I hope everyone is adjusting to school and Fall! Happy Trail, The Phillips
