What to bring to Camp

Long pants must be worn. Sneakers are fine or hiking boots as long as the toe of the boot is not too wide. If you have a question bring both pairs of shoes! Helmets are provided!

Sunblock and hats! A sack lunch!

* Horse Anatomy
* Grooming – tools and techniques
* Learn about the various tack (bridles, saddles, etc.)
* Feeding Rules
* Health maintenance
* Teeth and Age
* Farrier care
* Halter, Lead, and Tie correctly
* Riding Basics
* Knowing the Gaits the horse travels in
* Rules of the Trail
* Safety when working with horses
* Riding – at walk and trot

This is a 3 to 4 hour program!

Brownies working on the Horse Fan merit badge is $15.00 for the day!
