Horse Riding Lessons
Trainer Kerry Davids is from the UK and has been riding since age 5. She volunteered at various barns in the UK helping care for the horses as well as assist with riding lessons and the RDA (Riding for the Disabled). Kerry moved to the USA in 1996 and resumed riding at a barn which used Sally Swifts centered riding techniques. Kerry has ridden in numerous eventing competitions and ridden in clinics with previous eventers, like Kim Walnes. Kerry is a big safety advocate and teaches using the centered riding initiative for dressage, jumping and training horses. |
Trainer Shelly Phillips is the owner of High Country Stables and teaches most of the lessons. Her horse experience started in Snowmass, Colorado at 18. After spending the summer leading groups of riders on over-night back-packing trips to Crested Butte she fell in love with horses and continued working and training for the next 6 years. She has trained with John Lyons and Clinton Anderson. Shelly teaches Western, English, Halter, Running events and Trail.
