Shelly added two camps this year as the day camps were filling so fast.
These camps offer some really cool advantages.
Because they are from 6-9 they are much cooler than the daytime camps!
They are taught by Kerry Davids – National 3-Day Eventing and Jumping instructor, who will have her campers riding and working on beginner to advanced skills for the three hour camp.
They allow for a parents night out!
Camps are only $250 instead of the $325 for daytime camps.
Thanks for your support! We appreciate you!

A quick update for you.
We added two evening camps this year for the parents who could not bring riders due to work hours. These camps are from 6-9 PM, 6/20-24 and 7/18-22. They are also less expensive (and not as hot!) at only $250 each. There is plenty of room as of now – I don’t understand why though? Can anyone tell me? I thought these would be very popular. Is 9pm too late or something?
Both beginner/intermediate camps are full already.
The beginner camp (5-7 years old) only has two spots left and is 6/22-7/2.
This Friday’s day camp is almost full. The July 8th day camp is beginning to fill up as people are booking that now. These camps costs less than an hours lesson!
There is only one spot left for the advanced riders camp July 25th to 29th.
Use the paypal button to the right of the page to hold a spot with a deposit.

Most of the kids I talk to do not know what Memorial Day is for. Some think it is for veterans – some don’t even know that.
Memorial day is in remembrance of the millions of men and women who have died serving their country.
I served in the Navy – on a ship removing Marines at the debacle of Vietnam – and later in submarines. Our son Ian is on a path to join the Army or Navy elite forces. He feels a strong pull to serve.
Whatever your thoughts and feelings are about war and our military – just remember it is the men and women who have died that give you the freedom and the right to even have those feelings and be able to express them freely. They are why we are the most free nation in the world and it is also why so many people risk their lives to come here.
Please tell your children what this day means – show them pictures of war – and let them understand the relation between freedom and fighting for it.

We finally took a minute (or day) to get these videos edited and online.
Thanks so much for everyone who came to the High Country Stables riders fundraiser. They raised $400 for the riders! And we think a good time was had by all…
A special thank you goes out to the Moms – who worked all day to make it a success.

Summer is flying towards us quickly! (We had to thin all the peaches yesterday already!)
If you are thinking of signing up for a summer camp – (and we have added two evening camps this year!) – please do not delay in getting a deposit in. There are also two fun day camps available.
We are advertising this year so we can offer the camps to people who might not know about High Country Stables.
On the camps page we added a line to show how many spots are open for each camp – and will try our best to keep it up to date.
We look forward to seeing you this summer!
